Spotlight on: Cafe racer

Brought together by a mutual love of rock & roll music, this striking Leamington four piece remind you why you wanted to be in a band. Since coming together in early 2007, Cafe Racer have honed thier own unashamedly poppy take on loud, brash, guitar music. and it's proved to be no bad thing. Cafe Racer have had favourable comparisons with the Strokes and kings Of Leon.

Since recording " Treat Yourself " with John Rivers (of The Specials and Paul Weller fame) Cafe Racer have been busy touring the country and building a loyal fan base. Playing at some of the top venues these shores have to offer young bands, with NME darlings OK Tokyo (plus The Heights, Rebecca, Little Man Tate and The Sugars) thier stock is unquestionably on the rise.

But never mind all the spiel, the proof is there to be heard. So treat yourself to a listen.

"Big talent, big sound, soulful rock and roll sensibilities and a heck of a lot of attitude! DO NO MISS THESE LADS!! They'll be headlining the Astoria before this year is out, garanteed!" ....Fly Magazine

"This young, four piece band delivers a mature, anthemic sound, drawing comparisons with Kings Of leon, The Rolling Stones and the Strokes. By the time thier taut, economic collections of heavy guitar laden riffs and holler-along choruses have been thown at you, these slightly greasy leather-jacketed boys of urchin cool leave you with the feeling you just got bollocked with a heavy rounders bat"....Sandman Magazine
